Fran’s long and distinguished career as a high school principal included his serving as President of the Connecticut Association of Schools, President of the Connecticut Association of School Administrators (CAS), Chair of the NEASC Commission on Public Secondary Schools (CPSS). CAS bestowed upon Fran its coveted Citation - its highest honor. The NEASC Board of Trustees recognized Fran’s successful leadership of the CPSS during its reinvention of its Standards for Accreditation by presenting him with the Jacob Ludes III Leadership Award, a special distinction. Moreover, Fran was identified as Connecticut’s High School Principal of the Year. Now in his 8th year with NEASC, Fran continues to relentlessly help schools strategically plan for growth and improvement in pursuit of contemporary best practices to empower all learners, while ensuring their well-being and sense of belonging.
