Dana Specker Watts, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional and esteemed expert in the international education sector. With a pronounced history in the industry, she showcases adeptness in various domains like professional learning, curriculum formulation, DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice) endeavors, fostering innovation, and imparting adult education.Having earned her Doctor of Philosophy in educational leadership and administration from the University of Kentucky, Dana’s research focuses on three key areas: promoting women's empowerment, increasing diversity in leadership roles, and enhancing equity and inclusion within international school communities, all viewed through the lens of professional education.In her professional trajectory, Dana currently serves as the Director of Learning, Research, and Outreach at International Schools Services (ISS) located in Princeton, NJ. Prior to this, she had an influential stint at the Hong Kong International School (HKIS) as the Schoolwide Curriculum Leader. Dana's rich global experience also includes contributions to education in countries like India at the American Embassy School, Thailand at the International School of Bangkok, and more. Dana's pioneering spirit is evident from her initiative as the founding Executive Director of WLead and her tenure as the Director of Innovation at 21st Century Learning International (21CL).On the tech front, Dana stands out as an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Google Certified Teacher, and an ISTE Certified Trainer, further cementing her place as a frontrunner in integrating technology into education.
